27.08.08 - Acquisition of Vivid Group
Mitchell Communication Group (ASX: MCU) has acquired Vivid Group Pty Ltd (“Vivid”) effective 1st July 2008.
MCU will deliver Vivid’s clients a broad range of new competencies and disciplines. Mitchells is Australia’s largest independent communications group working across media planning & buying, strategy, digital media & marketing, branded entertainment, public relations, brand experience, sponsorship, sportsground marketing, direct marketing and corporate social responsibility.
This acquisition will see Vivid pursue expansion opportunities into the east coast. Mitchells have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth and Auckland. Vivid will deliver significant technology competencies in eCommerce, ECM, CRM and Web Hosting services to MCU’s extensive client base.
The calibre of Mitchell’s client base is more than impressive. Accounts won and retained by MCU in 2008 included Optus, Virgin Mobile, BMW, Nintendo, Google, Flight Centre, Good Guys, Tourism QLD, Sony, Cola-Cola, LG, Fosters, Mitre 10 and Credit Suisse amongst others.
